Non-invasive prenatal test

It is an exam that is carried out during pregnancy, as part of the triple screening that is carried out on all pregnant women. Non-invasive prenatal tests are performed through a sample of maternal blood, where your baby’s DNA circulates, to determine if the baby is developing properly.

These tests seek to rule out the possibility that a trisomy is being generated, the most common being trisomy 21, which leads to Down syndrome. In recent years this option has become less risky against invasive tests such as amniocentesis, its price will depend on what you want to be analyzed, but it varies between €175 and €650 in Spain.

Non-invasive prenatal tests are recommended by many health professionals, who, having the results, will tell you if you need to do additional tests or if everything is in order.
