To know the requirements to travel from Spain to Venezuela, below we explain what you need before boarding. The South American country opens its doors again, to the direct route from Spain to Venezuela; a route that had been suspended for more than 2 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic

This was communicated by the National Institute of Civil Aeronautics (INAC) through its Twitter account, on January 23, 2022: “(…) only commercial air operations are authorized for the transfer of passengers between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the countries of Turkey, Mexico, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Russia, Cuba, and Spain. This is in accordance with NOTAM Nº C0077/22 and A0043/22, dated January 24”

Requirements to travel from Spain to Venezuela

The documents needed to enter the country depend on the nationality of your visitor, and the length of stay.

For Venezuelan citizens without dual nationality:

• RT-PCR test (taken no more than 72 hours before your trip).
• Valid Venezuelan passport.

For Venezuelan citizens with dual nationality

• RT-PCR test (taken no more than 72 hours before your trip)
• Venezuelan passport and passport of your second nationality, keep in mind that upon arrival you may be asked to present both documents.

For foreign citizens, whose stay will not last more than 90 days:

• RT-PCR test (taken no more than 72 hours before your trip).
• Passport with at least 6 months validity.
• Demonstration of sufficient funds for your stay in the country
• Return ticket.
• If you have previously contracted tours and accommodation, you can show it anyway.

RT-PCR test on arrival

Currently, the Venezuelan government has determined that people who arrive in its territory, in addition to bringing with them a negative result of an RT-PCR test, must also undergo another upon arrival at the airport. Depending on your arrival destination, it can cost between $60 and $80 and will be paid in cash on the spot.
