The rapid antigen test became more popular in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, as it allows people to self-test at home. It is a simple kit that analyzes the viral load quickly, to find out if the person is positive or negative about the Sars Cov 2 virus.
These tests must be carried out between days 3-5 when there has been close contact with a positive, or when there are symptoms. If you have symptoms and the test is negative, you should repeat it in 48 hours because you may have been tested too soon.
In the event of a negative result, but you still have symptoms, the surest way to know that you do not have Covid is to take an RT-PCR test. Also remember that there are other conditions similar to Covid, we will tell you more in this post
