Cardiometabolic analysis

Cardiometabolic syndrome is a confluence of metabolic risk factors that can lead to the development of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus (known as adult diabetes).

Genetic risk factors include disorders of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, a proinflammatory and prothrombotic state, hypertension, and hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol).

How does it work?

  1. elige tu test genético
Choose and suggest an analysis for your patient
  2. frotis bucal para análisis
Your patient will receive its DNA sample kit at home
  3. instrucciones de uso
One of our partner labs will make the analysis
  4. instrucciones de uso
A specialist will explain the results by video-conference
  1. What are these tests?

They are tests that study the genetic material (DNA) present in oral cells, which detect polymorphisms (genetic variants) in genes associated with the risk of cardiometabolic syndrome, overweight, central control of intake, regulation of thermogenesis and calorie burning, pro-inflammatory processes in adipose tissue and the development of insulin resistance present in type 2 diabetes (adult diabetes).

  2. Who are they targeting?

These pathologies are very frequent in the population of developed countries and have a huge impact on the quality of life.

  3. What can they contribute to the patient's daily life?

Nutritional studies can predict metabolic and cardiovascular complications when they have not yet appeared. Identifying the risk of this syndrome has a great clinical importance, since establishing an action directed to the global control of the factors could prevent cardiovascular disease and diabetes mellitus type 2 (adult diabetes). Therefore, a qualified specialist can establish nutritional guides and habits appropriate to your profile improving your quality of life.

  4. How is the sample taken?

The patient receives at home by courier a sample collection kit with very easy to follow instructions and an informed consent that must be signed. The sampling is very simple, quick and painless. You should only maintain the precautions detailed in the kit. Once made and given notice, a courier will come at patient’s home to pick it up and take it directly to the laboratory for analysis.
