Why take the test?

What does the test detect?
The serological profile of the patient guides us as to whether or not the patient has passed the disease, or whether it is active at that time as long as the window period has been exceeded.
If you have negative IgM and IgG: The negative result of this test is not 100% reliable since a person could be infected by the virus and have not yet activated their immune response when they are in the window period. In this way, it is recommended to complement negative cases with PCR when the patient presents symptoms or has an associated risk factor.
