It is known that each season has the particularity of influencing in different ways the harvests of many fruits and vegetables, as well as animal life, determining the freshness and potency of the derived products.
With that in mind, I did some research on what’s best to eat during the fall and the best ways to serve it. May your food be nutritious but also motivate you to eat.

Autumn Vegetables: During this time, broccoli, squash and eggplant are especially fresh and at a discount price. They are very good sources of folic acid and vitamins C and B. Be sure to prepare salads with spinach, Swiss chard, artichoke, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts, zucchini and red pepper. All very healthy and delicious during the fall.
Autumn fruits: On the fruit side, crucial for a balanced diet, in the fall the grape is representative, which helps against decay and fatigue. Red fruits such as raspberry, blueberry and cherries will be good accompaniments for your breakfasts and will boost your blood circulation.
Nuts: They are not only nutritious, they are special for losing weight and calming anxiety. They are very visual for your autumn photos. Hazelnuts, chestnuts, walnuts and peanuts are great options to eat throughout the day.
Proteins: The autumn season fish in Spain are mackerel, bonito, sea bream, sole and red mullet, also rich in omega 3 and trace elements. Lean meat, cold milk and eggs are essential foods throughout the year to keep you strong, resilient and satisfied.
Fall Food Snacks
Pumpkin in your desserts: nothing more autumnal than adding this delicious fruit to the mixture of your sweets. You can do it with the brownie, just mash the pumpkin after roasting it and mix it with the rest of the ingredients. The rest of the preparation of the brownie is the usual.
Chestnut cream: put your cooked canes together with some dates, soak them for 10 minutes, in boiling water. Then drain the water and grind again until you get the texture you like the most. Keeping this chestnut cream refrigerated, you can use it later on toast, yogurt or oatmeal.
Sandwiches with Fig and Walnuts: in addition to a fresh cheese and ham, during autumn you can add walnuts, a little chopped, or slices of peeled and washed figs to any sandwich. In this way, it enhances the autumnal flavor of your dishes and their nutritional value.
